OUR STORY
Decades of Experience
Bowman Family Holdings Inc. has had a strong history in Mining, Agriculture, and Real estate in southern Indiana for more than 40 years. Our company has strong roots that go back to 1974, when Felson Bowman started Solar Sources Inc and began mining coal, used to generate power for homes and businesses throughout Indiana. The Bowman Family continues to hold equity in mining operations in southern Indiana today.
Among the assets of Bowman Family Holdings Inc. is the Southwest Indiana Megasite. The Southwest Indiana Megasite has expanded real-estate opportunities for Bowman Family Holdings and Pike County. This has been made possible through a strong foundation of public and private partnerships with Pike County and the City of Petersburg. Over the last 5 years all three have worked together to get the megasite to where it is today. Currently, the Megasite is part of a 4000 acre master plan that also includes Generation Springs, a 340 acre, shovel ready certified, industrial park. The Southwest Indiana Megasite is prime for the right companies looking to expand or relocate their operations and Bowman Family Holdings has a strong interest in investing and partnering to help make that happen.
The Bowman Family and its employees have experience and relationships that stretch across the globe. The global and local partnerships, have helped the Bowman family and their companies grow and succeed. The goal for Bowman Family Holdings, is to build successful, long term partnerships for the future, that resemble and build upon our current and past partnerships.
